Visa* Prepaid Cards issued by RBC®

Effective June 1st, 2021, RBC will discontinue the RBC VISA Prepaid Gift Card Program. As of this date, RBC Royal Bank will no longer issue new or replacement cards including for lost, stolen or expired cards. Cardholders requiring replacement cards will instead have any remaining card balances returned to them directly by RBC.

Existing RBC VISA Prepaid Gift Cards that have been issued will otherwise continue to operate and be supported until the card expires as set out in the RBC Royal Bank Prepaid Gift Card Agreement. Funds on the cards will not expire.

Cardholders may continue to access cardholder support services and use the phone number on the back of the card until the card expires. You can contact us through this number if your card needs to be replaced after June 1st, 2021 (for example, because your card is lost, stolen or expired).

It can be used virtually anywhere in the world where Visa is accepted including online, by phone and at millions of retail locations worldwide. You are not forced to use all the funds at one store or to buy things you don't really want or need. Plus, Visa security features provide protection in the event your Card is lost or stolen.

Please take a moment to register your Card now. You will need to register your card in order to check your balance or to make purchases online. You will also need to register your card in order for it to be replaced in the event that it is lost or stolen.
